Accident Checklist
- Relax to manage the post-accident situation best.
- Check for injuries and dial 911 to report and dispatch police/ambulance.
- Do not leave the accident scene; move your vehicle if in danger or instructed by a police officer.
- Do not discuss the accident with other drivers; however, provide the requested information to the police.
- Call GM Roadside Assistance if needed. If your vehicle is undrivable, arrange towing to the collision center. Collect a card from the tow truck driver or write down the driver’s name with the company’s name and phone number. Remove valuables from your car before towing, including registration and insurance cards.
- Call your insurance company to report the accident as soon as possible.
- Towing companies can deliver your vehicle to the collision center for an estimate and repair service.
